I love my Cabinets!

Post by Jerry2013 »

1) Marshall fullstack with 70's blackback loaded Celestion slant , and reconed blackback loaded bototm

2) Marshall fullstack with early 80's G12-65 slant cabinet ( about the greatest sound for my 100 watt l77 JMP, its between this and the G12H 30 !) and late 80's Greenback loaded straight.

3) Genz Benz Eminence loaded George Lynch 2x12 ported cabinet. My metal cabinet for whenst I can afford a good Boogie, or Hot Rod mARSHALL, OR GET MY '73 pT. 2 PT. Superlead recapped

4) Replica Marshall slant cabinet made to be a 60's basketweave sounding cabinet with birch back, G12-m 20 heritage crossed with original 70's blackbacks , steel handles, insulation .Probably close as i'll ever get to a 60's g12-m 20 watt 60's cabinet.

5) Legend Oak 1x12 cabinet with a EVM-12L reissue

6) Park -Marshall 90's cabinet with G12H Anniversaary / Vintage 30 cross. Also a good Hogher Gain Mesa head Cabinet.

7) Fender Weber and Jensen ressiue loaded Bassman vintage '65 cabinet ( I have a '65 Bassman head)

8) Vinatge late 70's marshall small check cabinet with 2x original G12h-30's , and other two to be filled by one Scumback G12H-30 and one G12h30 Heritage

9) Late 60's/Early 70's Sunn cabinet that matches my 200S Head w/ Alnico 60 watt speakers that need recone.

I'm inot a wide tonal pallte and these cabonets help me achieve that.

All my cabinets have been paintsakingly agonizingly brought to a point whgere all speakers are perfect- no buzzes rattles, cone cry, and all cabinets are tight, have been throuoghly gone over to make sure there are no rattles, except one that has a grillcloth rattle at hogh volme that needs a new grillcloth.

Looking for another Marsahll 2x12 to mount two Eminence red fangs I have. IMO really good speakers.
Also have a Mesa 4x10 with Jensen Alnicos that I do not want anymore.

Please Dont ask me to spell check right now, Ive got a heady buzz on.
Mad Gooper- must be stopped before I Goop again!

I like the JCM800 2x12 cabs (model 1936). I have a pair, one with G12-65's, and the other with Celestion Blues. The JCM800's were made of plywood, the JCM900's were made of MDF. Also, I run them with the backs off. They sound more spacious to me with the backs off...

Mesa recto cab

Post by ampmike »

One cab that seems to help with the highs on my Marshall's is the Mesa rec cab.its low and deep and seems to kill the sometimes ice pickiness to some of my Marshall amps.Ive got vintage thirty s and its a nice match for those el34 amps
