Like the Brown series, the Tweed Bassman sweet range is only 30-34ish, leave the 38-40 for the Silverface stuff. If I could get the cathodes to around 32,I would call it a day.

I got it up to about 6 and it started breaking up nicely
Yep. That's a tweed Bassman for sure. Glad you and the guys here got things sorted out.

Well, I ended up with just a few minutes to toss up a mic and play a bit. This is just moving through the 5 positions on the Sunburst Strat from bridge to neck and a little shuffle in Amin. I have more that I'll post later in the week.

Normal Vol at 4 tone set all at 6 except for Pres at about 2.

Normal Vol at 7 tone set all at 6 except for Pres at about 2.

Can anyone spot the flub-up I made on the cabinet?

A hint: I should have "handled" it differently.

You have 2 screws on each side of handle. You didn't allow for relief? :?

You have the handle centered front-back on the wood at the cut-out, not centered on the width of the cab. I don't know, it might balance and carry better the way you have it.

There is often a third chassis mounting screw through the top of the cab. It engages an L-bracket which is attached to the upper-outside PT bolt. I think it would be a good idea to add that feature to better support the chassis.

Martin got it. It hangs funny when I pick it up. Luckily, I'm not a gigging musician so I won't have to move it very often.

Which side is next to your leg when you lift it? I would think with the back facing your leg it might work out.

Haven't tried that...don't have the back panels on yet. But yeah, the bottom would swing out away from my legs. Hmmm.

I agree. It was surprising to me that the weight of the chassis is supported by only 2 screws with the tramsformers and choke pulling against them. They weren't supplied with the kit but I added some flat washers to mine just to reinforce the mounting slots in the chassis.

It sounds great though. It looks as good too!

Just got a chance to listen to the two clips- great tones and very nice pickin' too! What speakers do you have in it?
