Unfortunate tracking info

Post by xtian »

.
Don't see this very often in UPS tracking info:
Albuquerque, NM, United States 04/21/2013 6:00 P.M. Train derailment.

I am thinking that just means "late".

Could have been worse. Could be at Denver and the ON TIME plane to arrive in 4 minutes is CANCELLED. Not nice.

So you've been through Denver. :P

It's great when you watch them put your bags on the plane...then take them back off. Then load a completely different set of passengers/bags and take off. After that, your flight has been cancelled due to lack of an airplane.

When you make the slightest complaint, they threaten to escort you from the airport because you are a security risk.

Was it some parts for your next TrainWreck clone build? Hope you get them in reasonable shape but needless to say it'll be an amp with major mojo...

Oh, that would be rich. No, it's just some alien repair parts, as seen in the movie Super 8.

I was on a flight once where they removed all the bags from the cargo compartment. Then they made all passengers deplane and walk around the tarmac identifying their luggage. Someone had phoned in a bomb threat. There was no bomb.

Call DHS and confuse them with a story about a train wreck amp you were shipping in a train that wrecked..

GO ON.. do that.

Yeah, I didn't think so.

I've had bad experiences with Denver airport too.
First flight in the morning cancelled.
Followed by "you can't get there today". I did.
Be happy when a package arrives - late or not.
I had 3 for 3 screw up recently.
Luckily we got it resolved - no thanks to USPS.
Good Luck.

Whoa!
I had no idea that UPS shipped by train.

I have often wondered when I see a crashed UPS or FedEx truck on the freeway, how many packages will not be delivered due to damage and how they handle that.

I didn't know about FEDEX shipping my train but I did know that many truckers complained about rail shipping increase has caused them problems with loads.

But after all the horror stories I've heard about trying to get truckers to deliver loads explains why companies would switch to rail.
