What humbucker would You prefer with HRM + semi-hollow body (335) style guitars ? PAF's also ? Seymour Duncan 59+JB ?

Incredible tone and dynamic with my trusty ibanez lr10 with stock super58 bridge pickup and Duncan sh2neck .
Also a wonderful jazzy clean neck tone with a 1973 guild starfire IV with stock HB1 PU.
Out of topic but unbelivable tone from an assembled tele( something like 200usd w/o PU) with Suhr PU although they are single coil. These are magic!
ciao

I think you'll find the JB a little hot and harsh for your tastes, mat. With high-gain, I feel like it gets a little smeared in the midrange too. The '59 never sounded quite right to me either, but YMMV.

I can't recommend DiMarzio pickups enough. I have a pair of Virtual PAFs in my PRS Singlecut, and they sound fantastic. I just ordered a Bluesbucker and Virtual HOT PAF for my Standard 22.

You might like the Virtual PAF in the neck and the Virtual Hot PAF in the bridge for your Ibanez 335-style.

The DiMarzios seem to be excellently built, I think they sound great, and the price is right. Its hard to argue with all of the options/models they offer, too.
