This would be my first semi-hollowbody. Korean made but I was thinking of buy this: http://media.schecterguitars.com/imgs/corsair_wg.jpg
Grover tuners, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard, Duncan 'style' pickups...
I tried one with Bigsby and it was very easy playing and good sounding 335-style guitar. I went trough 6 different 335-copys and Schecter was by far best of them. It was actually the only one out of the 6 that had it strings playing without buzzes on every string on every fret
Anyone tried one ? Experiences ? At harmony central they seem to like it. I was also drooling while trying the Heritages but they are way of my budget About five times the Schecter
This would be about 850€'s Any other suggestions for 335-copys ? Actually I'm not too fond of the original ES335 shape..
I think Washburn and Ibanez make fine 335 copies. Not their 'el cheapo' ones, but the models that actually cost a few bucks(MIJ or USA -- and they're still much cheaper than a Gibson). Don't know if you've tried them or not. BTW, I own an incredible Gibson reissue 335 that is my main guitar. I would love to have a spare, but can't afford another 'real' one -- I'd take a good Washburn or Ibanez in a heartbeat. And, man oh man! There's nothing like a roaring semi-hollowbody through a killer amp

Thanks jimipage, I will check the Ibanezes for sure ! Yes, I'm very anxious to try the semihollowbody with my D-clones
Mat, Check out Payless Guitars, you can buy the Best lookin Gibson 335 copy i've ever seen, the electronic's are'nt as good as Gibson's but they look close enough and feel just like the real thing, the Chinese are makin a lot of copy's, right down to stampin the Serial no. in the right place, i'm sure Gibson, Gretch, PRS will be raisin cain over the copy's i've seen on the Chinese Ebay.

Amazing low prices How does the 335 You are talking sound ? I wouldn't maybe buy a guitar without trying it first
Mat, I thought of another place you might look: http://www.eastwoodguitars.com/
They have a few semi's reminiscent of Gibsons/Gretsch's. Decent prices, too.

Joey Leone Signature looks temptating, I have to check if they sell these on this side of the world.
mat,
I have nothing but a great time with my Ibanez AS73. Chinese Ibanez for $360 street price. Gibson Classic 57 pickups for $200 and makes it a killer guitar for $560. I own a '68 Gibson 345 and my cheap Ibanez holds it's own. I changed the tuners to Gotoh's too - not a must do but, much nicer.

Matt, I've only seen one of these copy's from China, the guitar, holding it, looking at it, playing it, I could not tell the Diff, I'm sure an expert on Gibson's could though, but it's such a cl;ose copy that it's gonna be hard to tell soon if your payin 3500 buck's for a real Gibson or a copy, now that's scary ! I went down to the guitar center after looking at a Zack Wylde LP and i just could not tell any diff between the 2 guitar's without taking them apart to see the Electronic's, A friend told me there is a difference in the wireing, I don't know if that's True or not, but the one I did see sounded like a Gibson, that's really all i can tell you !
But if I had the Buck's on hand i would try just one of the 335's !

I know what you mean. My wife and I vowed on January 1, 2006, not to buy anything from China. We made it through the year. I think there were a couple of occasions where we were left with no other option (paint-rollers, a dog toy, and a few other very minor items) and, therefore, had to give in. To this day my wife and I still make every effort possible not to buy anything made in China. So far, so good. And I will not EVER buy an instrument or amplifier made in China. Period.
As far as buying a guitar online without having tried it, I also understand your trepidation. I will say that with the exception of one lame MIM Strat, I have successfully bought several guitars online -- Les Paul Custom, Gretsch 6120, original Charvel, American Strat. If you have access to the services of a more-than-competent luthier then I would say go for a good deal when you see it. To me it's worth saving $ for the right deal and spending $50-$80 on quality luthiery to set the instrument up to my standards, than to buy something from the store and still spend the money at a luthier. Most music stores these days don't set up their instruments for sale anyway. They take 'em out of the box and stick 'em up on the wall. It really can end up costing you more than you thought.

If you are truly open to thinking outside the box, may I suggest a look at the G&L semi-hollow Bluesboy (Seymour Duncan "Seth Lover" neck pu and Tele-style bridge pu)? I got one of those and was so impressed by the build that I jumped on a ASAT Jr (semi-hollow, mahogany neck and body, quasi-P90s) too. Both are light and well-balanced instruments - each cost me less than $800. I sold my '79 Gibson ES-347 and '84 Fender Esprit Ultra SP.
Well, I have to add a vote for the top of the line Epiphone guitars. A buddy has the Elitist Sheraton II with the mini humbuckers, and it's marvelous. I've got the Epiphone Custom Shop Dregen Dot (an artist edition for a guy in a Swedish band called the Backyard Babies). Mine came with Gibson 57 Classic and 57 Classic Plus pups stock. It does the 335 vibe dead on. Made in Korea, set up in the states--plays perfectly. I like to play a lot of guitar-ized Henry Mancini stuff, and this thing just gets that blues/jazz/rock borderline tone.
All in all, a lot of the workmanship coming out of Asia is very nice--much more consistent than Nashville, I hate to say. The Eastman (not to be confused with Eastwood) is one of the few 335 style axes with a carved, solid top. For just around $1500 it's one of the best axes on the market, but I just can't afford that right now. I know a guy who was ready to plunk down $5000 on a Gibson mandolin until he tried a $350 Eastman.
I put that link on here because a lot of us are not expert's on the more expensive guitar's, Lawdy Mamma, I know I can't afford one and a lot of these copy's are makin thier way over here, So "Buyer Beware" Look before you leap !
