Mouser's shipping charge
I ordered many parts, but only one order number.
Mouser did not ship them at the same time, but dividing into FOUR!!!
One of four boxes contains only 3 resistors (ONLY $0.56!), but freight is $28!!!
(I'm living outside USA. I did not request multiple shipments.)
Also, Mouser canceled some parts without asking.
Did anyone experience this?
I'm very embarrassed.
Please advise.

Re: Mouser's shipping charge
Hi Tomo, multiple shipments are frequent with Mouser, not usual to have unwarned cancellations though. You may find that the rest of your order ships free after that first $28.tomo wrote:I ordered many parts, but only one order number.

Re: Mouser's shipping charge
skyboltone,
Thank you so much.
Invoice on the web shows the freight...
1st box : $28.45
2nd box : $27.45
3rd box : $37.95
4th box : $23.20
I think that this means all four are charged.
Will these(2nd-4th) charges cancel?
Though I do not receive the receipt from my credit card company yet.
Thank you so much.

Re: Mouser's shipping charge
I don't know. Wow, doesn't sound good though. Give them a call and explane your problem. I think you're stuck maybe for now, but I think they will hold your order for single shipment with explicit instructions.tomo wrote:skyboltone,

Re: Mouser shipping!!!
They have an electronic order form that will report immediately if a part is not in stock or if the required minimum order is not met. Sounds like I work for 'em eh? No just very safisfied for probably about 15 years. Their first catalogs were about 100 pages.Chris G wrote:Hi Tomo,

Re: Mouser's shipping charge
Mouser was recently acquired by Berkshire Hathaway (Warren Buffett). Maybe they are under pressure to develop new profit centers....

Re: Mouser's shipping charge
I have received followup shipments when parts were out of stock. No charge on shipping those. Maybe there is a clause for international?
Re: Mouser's shipping charge
Thank you very much, everyone!
I sent some e-mails, but mouser did not reply.
I'll retry.

Re: Mouser's shipping charge
It was on Mouser's home page a couple of weeks ago. Actually the acquisition was Mouser's parent company, but I don't recall who that was now.

Re: Mouser's shipping charge
Tomo,
Something else to consider is whether some of the parts "Canceled," were ROHS compliant and/or whether your country of residence allows these parts to be imported.
However, If this was the case I would assume they would let you know.
Good luck !! BTW-are these parts for your Dumble clone?

Re: Mouser's shipping charge
Almost is RoHS compliant. But the rest are not.
Yes, these parts are for Dumble clones.

Re: Mouser's shipping charge
You could be right Tomo. New management, new rules, somebody trying to make a name for himself. End of a good supplier. There were companies that supplied the needs of the electronics enthusiast in years past. Names like Lafayette, Allied, Radio Shack. Various forms of mismanagement killed Radio Shack and Lafayette. Allied only sells large quantities.tomo wrote:Almost is RoHS compliant. But the rest are not.

The good news is somebody will step into the void. Digikey maybe
I'm going to place an online order today.
