Brown Note D'Lite 22 Kit - Last Call

Post by brownnote »

Hey Everybody,
I’ve been intending to compose an eloquent letter for weeks, but it’s just not happening so I’m going to just blurt this out….

This has been a really fun ride.
When we started the D’Lite project we were going to put together a run of 10 kits, then 20, and it just kept growing…
People built the amp, the amp sounds terrific, the price is affordable…why not keep going?
So we did and it’s been fun, but the time it’s taken to organize this project and keep it rolling is waay more that I would have estimated.
At this point I’m spending most of my free time assembling, packing & shipping kits.

Well, as I said it’s been a blast, but…I like to build amps, and it’s getting to the point where I can’t manage the kits and have enough time for the custom builds.

So at this time we’ve decided to suspend D’Lite kit sales and focus on building amps.

Of course all current orders will be filled, and we have stock on hand for just a few more kits. For now, you can still order one…there are about 10 kits on hand to ship, when they are gone, the option to buy the kit will disappear, so this is it…last call for D’Lite kits!

We’re going to get back to building amps, developing new ideas that we’ve been working with, focus more on the features we want to offer, and less on keeping down the build complexity.

Of course the Brown Note Forum will remain online, and support, discussion, etc will continue as long as folks want it. I really enjoy the forum, and have no intention of changing it.

Thank you to everyone that participated in the D’Lite run, congratulations on building your amps, have fun, play music …wish us luck!

Brown Note D'Lite 22 kit - last call

Post by C-Filbert »

I'm sorry to hear you're ending the run, but on the other hand I understand. Please put me down for one, please! I've already posted a request on your site.

Keep up the good work and thanks to all of the Amp Garage contributors. I've learned a lot, and I'm still a newbie :D

Could you let us know how many full parts kits actually shipped at the end of the run? That may add some value down the road. I have already had two serious offers for my head- without cab. Ain't fer sale.
You think its broke? Lets make sure!

Moss,

I had ordered 2 board sets when I paid for my shipping for my 2 chasis sets. I got the chasis, but no boads. It has been at least three months and I still have not seen the boards. I had just gotten in to your Mercury Mags buy if that hasn't gone out yet can I get the boards included with the iron? I was willing to be paitent but I am assuming this is my last chance to clear this up.

Feel free to PM me.

I appreciate the reminder, check your PM...

Just so you guys know, there's no last chances with stuff you already ordered, and we're not going away.
We're just suspending D'Lite kit sales so we can re-tool on some stuff, tighten up our entire fulfillment process to shorten wait times and missing parts etc, and make some production level D'Lite amps to sell.

I'm sorry I missed this post as I've been planning to order one of the kits, but just didn't get around to it. :(

Can anyone recommend another source for these kits?

Any help is appreciated!
