I know shad just finished up a 146 MM style clone.

Hopefully you will have some cool info to share on this one.
Looking forward to seeing progress.

I like the MM output sections; not sure about the special tweak that 146 has and what Shad is implementing in his 146, but 147 is a MM style as well. My last D build was a high plate, non-hrm, skyliner with JJ big bottle 6CA7's @ 712 volts.

#0147 looks great the black head and cab killer.
My last build was a cross of #0094 and #0124, I don't sell my builds, A friend the only person I know that has a top ten hit song talked me out of that amp with $3,000.00 cash.
That amp was to be my last ODS amp build not now.

TM, I will be interested how you new build turns out.

Steve. :D

Yeah that is right, you have two 'last amps' to build! :)

Notice I said ODS...wasn't counting the UP, change your PI and you will be there

FYI, it's 3 amps if I can get someone to water jet a chassis for the slide switches....a Small Odyssey :)

Hey TM

If you are going to have Heyboyer make up a MM trannie set for you maybe we could do a group buy and get the price down, I'd be in for a set!

As always I look forward to watching your work progress.

It is not visible on my HRM build pictures but what I did was to use a piece of buss-bar wire to make one of the jumper connections under the backing board after everything else is soldered in place. This squeezed the two pieces together near the middle of the board and made the pair just as firm as if I had glued them together. It is totally reversible if you need to ever take the thing apart.

So, in this picture the buss wire sticking up with green tape on it forms a 'U' that goes all the way through both boards and is soldered on top. It is squeezing the two boards together. That is my 'secret' to keep the top board from bowing up in the middle.

If I were not doing an HRM mounting, I was going to put an eyelet on the backing board right under that center ground connection and use a little piece of wire to solder the two eyelets together to keep the two boards tight in the middle.

I see. Clever!

So some, or most of the wiring is between the boards then, right? I hadn't noticed that before.
