Thank you for the inspirations

I was working lately on something similar. Three channels - EF86 driven, triode driven, and topboost channel (with T&B controls on the back of the amp) in place of vib/trem. The goal is to use VOX replica bits, to keep vintage correct outside look, and use my choice of spec. My layout takes half of the stock AC30's space ;) and it's still VOX tagboard style. I'm getting handy with tagboard layouts ;)
Doing my layout I tried to keep filtering caps as close to the sections they 'cleaning' as possible. I'm also thinking to add master control (also known as a 'wife knob'), but cant decide between PPIMV, Matchless style, or one of these new, fancy power scaling devices. The last mod I will do is the solid state/valve recto switch. Pete Cornish said ones he changed rectifier to silicon on some of B.May AC30's - It's easy mod, and worth to try. I'm still working on this one, so it's not yet working unit, nor layout finished - IT WONT WORK AS YOU SEE IT ;) When I finish it up, I see no reason why not to share

Cheers
