Tremolo circuit Vibrolux 5e11 help

First I thank the previous contributors for their help and insight. My understanding of grid bias has much increased in the last week. It seems that reading must be accompanied by bench time in order to gain understanding. Regardless, I am trying to create tremolo but I have not yet been able to do so. My bias voltage is at -30.and the tremolo circuit changes this by about 1.5 volts to -28.5. Tremolo is not occuring. How should I pursue this further? I did copy the tremolo circuit from the BF Princeton but I am using 220 k, to get my bias. Further insight is appreciated.

Assuming you built the circuit correctly as the schematic specifies, you may have a weak 12AX7. You need a strong 12AX7 for V1 and not some other 12A?7 tube to trigger the oscillation.

Did you accidentally use a shorting type jack for the trem-jack?

Have you got the correct value resistors and capacitors in your
LFO's R/C circuit?

What are the plate and cathode idle voltages in the LFO? (e.g.: it won't work very well if you are using .1uF instead of .01uF etc)

Where have you got your static bias set? The trem also doesn't work properly if the bias is too hot.
