We don't have shrimp and crab around here so i use Crawdads(Ours are better than the ones From murky water. Way better) Froglegs And deer sausage.

Well the shit file you buy in stores isn't the real thing. The original is made from sassafras. But I prefer okra. I also put fresh cut off the cob corn in my gumbo. And use the back of the knife to scrape the corn pulp in.

Dried leaves ground up. But you put it in after it is off the heat. If file is boiled it gets stringy and tastes bad.
