Tunguska and this and it makes you wonder why God hates them.

I love science. The "experts" said this is unrelated to the near Earth encounter slated for a couple hours from now. They are full of shit. That thing was another piece of the flotsam from the impact that set the coming asteroid on it's path. They can argue all day against it. I wouldn't be surprised if there were a couple more unexpected bonuses to come.

Most of the smaller debris would precede the larger, and the smaller yet would trail it. Mass inertial transfer.

If you see bright light make sure to cover your ears and sit down.

I don't want anyone to get pulverized, incinerated, or otherwise mangled ...... but I wouldn't mind if a bunch of them meteorites parked themselves in my back yard. Space rocks are quite valuable. Some of them fetch ridiculous amounts ....... enough to buy several authentic Dumble's.

No sir ..... I wouldn't mind having some stony-iron, chondrites ...... as long as they sport some pretty Widmanstatten patterns. Bring 'em on! I have a shovel standing by.

...The "experts" said this is unrelated to the near Earth encounter slated for a couple hours from now. They are full of shit. ...
I think they are trying to say that there is no evidence that links one to the other. Without evidence, a scientist would not state a relationship. Behind closed doors, I would guess that some might say there is probability that they are related. Of course, there could be a conspiracy... :P

BTW, there is no current way to track these smaller objects. They only got 'lucky' to find DA-14. There are some pushing for an orbited space telescope to track smaller objects. Yes, I'm in favor of that.

I've heard that asteroids prefer communists. I'm pretty sure this is proof that the interstellar cold war is warming.

I was amazed at the sonic booms and how powerful they were.

There is one video that shows a overhead door (like a garage door) blown completely in.

Most of the injuries were from flying glass.

People went to the windows to see what was lighting up the sky.

OK, for you brainiacs, if this meteorite was traveling 30,000 mph, why is there a sonic boom since it is already above that speed?

And why two or more sonic booms?

Different directions now that they have plots, so I am wrong again, but at least I don't speculate lol

Umm so we protect ourselves with everything we can muster (from a small asteroid) and a comet comes. It's like taking a Barbie doll to a gun fight.. ;)

That would be from entering our atmosphere. where there is enough resistance to create it. not sure on multiples. maybe at different mach levels as it slowing down and burning up.

One sonic boom. Three explosions. The first boom is the shockwave plus the first explosion. You can see two distinct paths after that, then two more explosions. 57 seconds from flash to boom. That is quite a ways up there.

Now "they" are saying it was an UFO and that it was shot down..........

It has been shown that when any large body comes close to earth, that it is accompanied by little friends that can and do enter our atmosphere.

The end is near!

They, who? "Science experts" at the National Exaggerator? oops Enquirer? Yeh they have front page photos of aliens shaking the President's hand too - every President since Ike.

All in fun Structo, I know you're not that gullible.
