Don't ever put anything delicate of value through the baggage systems they have what is called a pusher,it diverts bags from one belt to another. They have at a min a 3 HP motor on a gear box with about a 2 ft arm. they have one hell of a lot of power it would snap your leg like a twig. Used do the maintenance on those systems at NWA.

Reeltarded wrote:Excellent work! Delta destroyed two of my vintage guitars in the 80s. A '57 Custom and a '61 SG Les Paul and also took out one of the first Dean Z models made in his garage. Best guitar ever. UPS has destroyed at least 5x as many, with the most notable being a custom colored '67 V with matching headstock, and next a '55 blonde Switchmaster not to mention a couple early D-28s and a J-200.
I cried after I read this. Even '55 blonde Switchmaster

Only one guitar could make me cry. 32 years of most every moment in my sight. :)

Never would have guessed and I always wanted one, still do, a real one anyway. My grandma gave me food that kings and emperors would envy but no jamming guitars.

I had no support from anyone else in my family as far as music goes.

Everything I am belongs to that woman. I am pretty sure if she were alive she would be arrested and probably hanging before the next sunrise.

Not by chance that guitar is named Kathryn, but it's friends call it Dixie. :)

The lesson learned here today boys and girls is we need to stay well grounded and not wander to far from home. :) Need to travel pack the wife and kids into a automobile and see America.

Too many wonderful guitars destroyed.

Oh, I disagree! Never travel. Rarely leave. Arm yourself heavily!
