Recently I got a Roctal Project from SLIBERTY. He was never fond of the tone. He had tried several mods to the amp ie: changing a few coupling caps, fixing the bias...
When I got the amp I changed the PI to Blackface Bassman specs added a std Fender negitive feed back loop and changed the PI tube to a 12AT7 driving 6L6GC's
Next I changed the tonestack around to traditional 5F6a values. I like to amp a lot it has been a fun test bed. I am thinking about ditching the cf driving tone stack and adding a Post PI driver. Should I use an anode style like a Dumble Odyssey, or a CF style, and why. I am looking to add punch to the amp and bottom end snap.

I was thinking about doing this with an amp but with mosfets as it requires no drilling. Please share what you do/think. thanks.

I actually thought of using a MOSFET for the follower in the tone stack. From what I have heard there is no change in tone

It will change. More and more as you increase the signal.
