That's a nice start for a Stangray or AC30.

Well of course a guitar amp of some take. Just not sure what flavor fits best yet. Any ideas what fits best? I dont know what a stangray is. I was thinking ac 30 or rocket type of course it's got an ef86 up front.

Dr Z Stangray has an EF86 V1, 12ax7 V2, 4 EL84's power section and GZ34 rectifier tube. Volume, tone and cut control.

The AC30 would be a great build as well and something I would love to tackle one of these years.

Mark is there a schematic for a Stangray around on here? This thing currently has a "hum balance" it's called on the heaters???

That balances the heater current to the tubes to reduce hum.
You just adjust it for the lowest audible hum.

yes i have that already, my instructor has a matchless clubman that had a 6sh7 but it was converted to an ef8r by the factory. which was a mistake. anyway it still sounds great.

7 is your output transformer regular primary taps.

9 is your ultralinear taps.

2 is 100R screen resistors.
