Ah, yes, sorry. The characteristic curves do show there is a bit more sag for 2x 5U4 as opposed to 1x 5AR4 at the same current draw. Perhaps that explains the difference.Tweedguy wrote:Read my first post for a tone comparison.
rd, I guess the PT's would have to be beefed up to handle the current. That's quite a difference between 1x 5AR4 and 2x 5U4! Another big incentive for Fender to drop that configuration.
