I have a few questions about my airbrake build.

Is position zero supposed to be the bypass like on the retail airbrake?

What should the resistance be when set on position one?

This attenuator should be able to handle a hot rod deluxe correct?

I'm using the Attenuator_Layout_final_C.pdf because the lug numbers on the rotary switch match the lug numbers on mine.

I'm asking about the resistance at position one because I don't get much of a reading with my DMM. So I just want to make sure that I didn't make a mistake.

Position zero is bypass, one is unknown, two is 6 ohms, three is 11 ohms, four is 16 ohms, and five is the bedroom setting. Also, the rheostat doesn't seem to lower the volume as much as I was expecting.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Hotrod Deluxe? Yes, it should easily handle that with lots of headroom.

What exactly did you build?

With my load boxes I can plug headphones in and put them on or blow them up with the amp still being happy with the constant load on that side. The amp thinks they are a pair of 16ohm boxes in parallel configuration. (8 total)

These aren't TW Brakes, but they can't be too different?

First of all I apologize to everyone for my last post.

I built the attenuator shown in the attached schematic. The only difference is that I added a fan on a separate circuit with an on/off switch.

However, I'm still not sure how much of a difference there is supposed to be between positions 0 and 1. But it doesn't seem to be lowering the volume as much as it should be. I guess I'll compare it with the schematic again...

You might wanna check your wiring per this diagram. The connections to the switch are easy to mis-wire.
