Dumble Homepage?
Hey everyone, nice to meet you!
I've been looking around the net and I can't seem to find a homepage for Dumble Amps, is it too exclusive a company that the models aren't to be trodden out before just anybody or am I just looking in the wrong places?
Anybody got a link?
Thanks!

Re: Dumble Homepage?
Elusive is more the correct answer. Alexander only builds for a very small and exclusive group of players these days. No need for a web presence when you already have your market.Alexo wrote:Hey everyone, nice to meet you!

Yes, I have it from reputable sources that he still builds a few amps. The health problems are also true.toneman wrote:He still builds??????Heard he HAD health problems along with legal problems so he quit building. sorry for the pun

Re: Dumble Homepage?
If the Angel's Breath thing is true, it's a takeoff of the name of an amp I used to build when I knew him back in the '70s. I grew up in Catholic Schools and I called this little solid state screamer "Nun's Breath". There was nothing sweet about it. Good on him as far as I'm concerned, I got more out of him than he ever got out of me. I know Brandon knows folks personally that have had less than wonderful relationships with Alexander but he was a great guy back in the early '70s when I knew him.Funkalicousgroove wrote:from what i understand, he no longer builds anything but mods to blackface fenders called an "ultra phonix" and some other super secret amp called an "Angel's Breath"

Don't get me wrong, Everyone says the same things: VERY friendly and personable, intelligent, elloquent, well-spoken.........and can come up with more lame excuses as to why he hasn't built your gear than anyone has ever heard of!!

It took years, but Jackson Browne finally kicked him out of his house.

Re: Dumble Homepage?
I'll tell you one thing for sure, he was pretty hard on my playing. I don't imagine he'd build another for me. As it was he didn't want his name anywhere on it. It wasn't a scratch build. It was a gutted and rewired Fender Rhodes amp.Funkalicousgroove wrote:I'd definiteley like to hang out with him for an afternoon!
