I have been going to Music Fest in Bethlahem Pa for years. This kid has played there every year from like 8 years old.He is 21 now and an absolute killer guitar player now.He brought me back to when as a kid I got right close up to the bands guitar player to see his playing.Check out some of his vids. His live tone is the best I have ever heard.Im really impressed by this kid,Mikey

No,He is from Pa.It seems a lot of guitar players end up touring Germany and Norway. He was playing festivals at 8 years old.He uses Allesandro and a Custom shop Badcat.I have to say his live sound is killer.I might go see him at the Stanhope house in NJ on the 31st.He just really impressed me as the years go by.Mikey
Re: Eric Steckle
Yeah he plays a wicked lead.
Nice to see somebody that is not a SRV clone on a strat.
Thanks!

Wow!
Re: Eric Steckle
Damned lightning fast, spindly fingered whippersnappers. Just kidding, this kid is the real deal. I enjoyed his playing a lot. Good stuff Mikey.

Re: Eric Steckle
The second clip; Funky C Funky Do, is pretty amazing. The close-ups of his fretboard shows his strings are WAY high off the neck. Good grief, I could not get anything out of his guitar! My fingers hurt just looking at it....

I hate to be critical when I could'nt even hold a candle to this guy but he could back off the distortion for some songs.
Re: Eric Steckle
He is good but I agree when the sound is always distorted it doesn't mix well and that one slow song should have been played in a clean low level.

Someone needs to get that kid an express.

What I like about him is he just tunes in and never gets to a point of loss.He seems to keep making his way about the fretboard effortlessly.Friday night Im going to go down to NJ and see him,I dont get out much at all but my favorite place to see a band is a small club.I will get his setup and post. When I saw him doing the outdoor shows he really cut through the mix.One year he had an older gentlemen playing with him and there was a huge diff in sound quality. Now this guy was playing the workingdog Alesandro but Erics badcat just stepped right over it.I am just really impressed with a 20 yr old playing that kind if music.
He is a 4 finger player and can pack a lot of tastful notes in one breath.I think he sings well and really out plays some of his more famous counterparts.Jonny Lang did the same to me as well.He had his own style.
He played through a couple deluxes and some pedals with a Les Paul.
Terrific singer as well. His veins in his neck look like they are going to explode as he sings. Its great to see the young kids in the US still dig the Blues and rock. When I was ten years old if I could see a band I got as close to the stage I could and just watch the lead guitar.I would allways and up helping them put their gear away and get a lot of guestions answered. Thanks Guys,Mikey
