I've had just v1, v1 and v2, v1+v2+pi, together.
I've had each cap at a separate chassis point as well.

I just jumpered from first cc to stage2 grid effectively removing the gain pot, with a 1meg R clipped to ground. Still get guitar at speaker with v2 removed.

From previous post, jumping from stage1 plate to the TS eliminates the problem. So there is some sort of interaction between stages1&2 that somehow interacts with the rest of the amp. This only happens when both sides of the tube are employed. Decoupling the PS with an extra RC filter did not help.

Time to change the ceramic socket. If that doesn't work, I'm done with this thing.

I lifted a leg on all three caps on both cathodes stage1&2, still have the problem.

I replaced the socket, still have the problem.

I'm yhinking VV is right, the board is the problem. I don't wanna go point to point, and only have more of this black board...

I'm going to order new boards and passives and start over. That will be far less frustrating than dealing with this bull%€$t pardon me but i'm pissed...

Before you do that......try one more thing? Move V1B plate to another PS node, and move V1B cathode to the PS ground. Leave grid loads where they are(why the extra grid load just before V1B?) including volume.

Just a thought.

Cobalt, i already liftedd one end of the cathode caps to eliminate a bad cap caausing crosstalk. I also temporarily set up a 6th PS node. Not sure this will work but i'lll try it sometime this week. Taking a break from this for a few before i gut the amp and start over from scratch...sigh!
