The rocket circuit has no hiss. Well, nothing compared to the express or Liverpool. Actually the rocket is very quiet.

I looked back at the pics and didn't see any CCs in there, but still. Expectation can sometimes make you think it's hissy, then the question is 'compared to what?'.

My other amp is a Dr Z Maz18. It is normally very quiet, but it seems like the AC power at my amp is different from day to day. Yesterday, both amp were noisy with the same hiss tone, but over the weekend, the Maz was fairly quiet unless preamp was cranked. Maybe it is just the fact the Rocket is a heckuva lot MORE amp; therefore, the hiss is more prevalent. We have had quiet a bit of storms lately in my area and have lost power several times in the past few weeks. That combined with the old age of the house could potentially cause unstable AC.

Reel...what exactly are you refering to by CCs?

Thanks for bring it to my attention that I needed to compare it to other amps and not just expect it to be perfect. I am definitely satisfied with the TONE!! I just recently got a Lizard Leg Flying Dragon Boost and it sounds amazing pushing the front end of the Rocket!
