Old thomas organ parts

I acquired this thomas organ amp. I already scavenged the 12ax7's for my fender bassman, but I was wondering should I leave the rest intact or scavenge the parts? I'd hate to rip it apart and find out later it's worth some serious dough.

It's not really worth shit and it's full of blue molded caps ala vintage Fender blackface era equipment. I would have no issues harvesting the iron and caps out of that to make something much more usable than it currently is.

Those are a very good shape for a tweed-style cab too. Just recess (or fir-out) the screw cleats on the back and you can use the side flanges on the chassis to attach it. I also recommend putting an "L" bracket on one of the power transformer bolts to screw into the top. On one I did like this, I recessed a T-nut on the top before tolexing it so I could use a machine screw to secure the "L" bracket.

I haven't done this with a Thomas but if you do a top mount controls design, you can also punch some holes in the down side for the tubes and use a board for the components. sh

I don't necessarily disagree with Cliff. However, if you are willing to invest some time, just because you want to do that, you might strip the inside and then build something you want and can use under the existing iron. It's a pretty good candidate for repurposing. If you do it, make a labor of love. If not interested in doing that, then harvest what you can and use it in a fresh build.
