My guess is an .0047/600v OD, 100k plate, 47pf mica and between the bass pot and volume pot a 33k and 500pf mica.

250kL bass pot, 500kA volume pot and 250kL treble cut pot.

rhinson - yes, that rotary thing comes to mind. Still, it might be that the pot affair that Ken applied is more interactive and capable of a greater variety of bass colors. (And of course none of this is to say that Matchless used any circuit like this in their amps, just the rotary switch that applied capacitance.)

Well, I need to track down that person who owns the amp that I heard. He's in town, that I know, and a very nice guy, too. Who knows, he might let me take a look.

Yes I am building the amp right now.

I have been working on my youngest son's home for past 4 days so got nothing done on the amp.

Faceplate arrived, need to punch and drill a "Turret-boards" chassis and go from there.

Has anyone put one of these together yet? The non-studio sound clips have not been very convincing and the circuit itself is not inspiring... however I am getting a few inquiries and was thinking maybe I'd finish one. I put together *drawings a long time back before I flamed out on this idea. I've got another long airplane ride coming up and thought maybe I could finish up the drawings... any progress by anybody else?

If using a dpdt or dpst switch, place the standby between the winding and the recitifier diodes... way less problems that way!

Has anyone substituted a nos 12ay7 say rca in the lpt in their current rocket ? Thats my favorite, I think the gain should be similar to the 6nsl.
