Ugh. It's 102° again right now and probably going to be like this for a few more days. Too hot to get anything done outside. The whole family is cooped up inside the house.

3 hour session. A/C never caught up. 85 the whole time and I am a sweaty freaking pig of a man. I have been this sweaty before but not from just standing around with a guitar.. I have to at least think to sweat, normally.

I haven't looked at the forecast, but holy crap it's freezing here all of a sudden.

It got dark twice today too. Strange. When the Sun goes down a second time when does it come back up? I never noticed that dark thing bigger than the Moon. That is cool! It has like a big halo.. almost like an angel from the Heavens!

hah! Stupid Mayan calendar! Wrong, just like I said. It's just July!

We got smacked in Baltimore on Friday night. Power went out about 11:30PM. Trees and limbs all over the place. Next few days were 99-100-ish. Last night it got into the low 70's and the lower level of the house cooled to a comfortable temp. It had been 91 in the bedroom upstairs and that sank to about 80 -- uninhabitable -- we are sleeping in the living room (lower level, on a concrete slab). Today it's only 93. Still no power at home. I am "visiting" an office to steal power to charge my computer and phone. I am not expecting power until the weekend. At least the gas grill is working and we have gas-fired hot water. I swear, I looked as hard as I could for a grill with no side-burner last time I bought one -- never use it is what I kept thinking, but there is no such animal. I've made coffee on that burner for several days and will probably need it through the week. Cooked pasta on it last night. Who'd 'a' thunk it?

Man, I saw that on the news, you guys in the DC area are getting hammered.

They said at one point over 5 million people were without power.

Then with the high heat and humidity it must be pure hell.

No cell towers, no power, no computers.

It really makes you appreciate how much technology we rely on when all of a sudden it is gone.

Looks like New England got a slight reprieve, lower temps and humidity.

If I lived there I would seriously consider moving out west to God's country. :D

Thoughts and prayers to those affected by the storms and heat wave.
Tom

Holy crap!A cloud but it went away.

Its been over100 for the last two weeks.Average temp should be around 90.This isn't even the hottest part of our summer.August should be terrible.

Some places in the area got a little bit of rain over the last 2 days.We just got teased not a drop.
Calling for rain Monday,I'll belive it when I see it.
