Any suggestions on which tube this would suit

I'm not sure if it will work. You might try half of a 12AU7 or 6SN7 as a SE output. You might look at a SE EL95. Really, operating parameters should be known or estimated. You question in the abstract is too hard to answer with assurance.

Yes. What DC "bias" current is the OT rated for? And unless the OT is 12K/2 ohms, you have more options. If it's 12K/8 ohms, then it's also 6K/4 ohms and 3K/2 ohms.

12k at 4 ohms meant to be for a el95 but i,m wondering if theres anything else before i skip them

Maybe an SV572 if the OT can deal with the current: idles at something like 60mA at 500V.

A 6V6 will operate there.
