Meet Debra Ann my Express clone less her faceplate that an artist friend of mine is working on... a bit of non-traditional joinery as I used pocket screws to join everything together, but it turned out quite nice!

We had a console stereo that was veneered in maple, and that same warm color. I can smell my childhood. I don't think I have ever had quite this reaction to a picture of an amp.

Looks great. Did you recess the sides of the top piece about an inch back to give it the look of a 45 from the front? Interesting...
