Shoehorn a tube?

Post by Reeltarded »

Little chassis Marshall.

Where would you cut in another preamp tube? I am thinking in the tightest triangle between the first pair as close as possible without the bases interfering, or hiding it inside in almost the same spot but sideways orientation.

Seems like a 2 hour project I could get away with. :)

Is there anyway to mount it inside the chassis.Like mounted on a 90* bracket. Then it would look stock on the outside and noone could figure out why the little amp screams

Exactly what I was thinking!

Better to have it like that to keep a little distance from the board at that end, I am thinking. I had considered mounting it on the end and outside. That's a science project!

I have everything but an angled bracket. Bet that takes 10 minutes or less. ;)

Aha! Nope, but you are just in time! I wasted a bent chassis trying to turn bits of it into proto-brackets. I was about to give up and start shopping for a Rat pedal. lol old habits die reeeally hard.

That is AWESOME! Thanks a bunch!.

Good idea! I should get drunk and see how it all worked out when I sober up.
