Well there has been quite a few of these amps built with 250kL bass pots so this thread is going to cause a whole lot of people to change it out.

Ceriatone uses 250kA in their LP.

It has been eight years since those drawings and I do make reference to both Liverpool amps that I had shots of.

Based on that, I'd say that I did see a 250K bass pot in one of the amps. The pots were clarostats.

Personally, I don't think it is a big deal if you use 250K or 1M as we are talking about change at the end of the taper.

I think the thing to remember during this time I was giving everyone the best information available at the time. If you ever get curious try replacing the 1M tone control pots with 250K pots. To my ears it's a different amp.

mid pot is 25k linear presence is 25k linear volume is 1 meg audio treble is 1 meg audio and I used 250k audio for bass after trying the 1 meg audio for bass.....with everything on noon and cts pots it sounded much better to me

I've been through my pictures and I didn't see a shot which had a250K bass pot. I did have a hand drawn circuit that shows a 1M pot.

Sorry for the confusion. In short I assume the pot is 1M but I'm not sure either way. Allyn would know for sure.

I did mean to ask what difference did you notice between the 250K and the 1M pot.
