Mesa Boogie DC3 Hi volume problems
Hi, I changed all my tubes, changed the speaker and checked all the caps values and everything is ok, except when I use lead channel. When I put gain at 8, master 5, outpu 5, or more, I've got a lot of speaker noise! Is this normal at high volumes at the lead channel with gain set at 8? There's no microphonics only volume noise, when I put the gain down everything is perfect.

Have you plugged into another cab to rule out the speaker itself?

The speaker is a brand new Celestion G12 Vintage 30, 8 ohm. I put it in a case with the connections on the top. Is it possible that the speaker is getting some noise because I put the connections on the upper case?

By volume noise do you mean hiss? Maybe the tube you have installed in the V1 position is noisy. Try swapping it with others and see if you get any change.

No, it's not a hiss, it's like the noise you hear when you put the volume on max. I'll try to change the tubes on v1 with another one and let u know. Thanks anyway
