Anyone know what kind of taper this vintage CTS pot is? It's not linear but I can't figure it out.

should be a 10 percent log taper.

although given its age its hard to tell since that wouldn't be considered a rv2nay pot now a days.

Thanx! I was hoping it would be a 30% taper. What would that code be for a 30% taper?

This one measures 48K wiper to pin 3, and 398K wiper to pin 1, with the pot at the mid-point of its range.

there's no mil code for a 30 percent taper.

c is 10 percent and d is 20 percent.

30 percent was/is available on special order and some companies had internal codes.

Thanx again , d! That's a pity, it's a super quality build compared to current stuff. Weighs about twice as much.

Be nice to run into a pile of those pots!

All nice and sealed in their individual anti-corrosion envelopes. :D

Tom, www.mistersprockets.com has 42 of them, $7.50 each. That's where I found that pic. The one I have I bought years ago in Salt Lake City when I lived there. Mine measures 442K.

Kind of hard to navigate.
