We tried JJ, EH, an EH 12AY7, and a Chinese 12AX7. Of course, the 12AY7 sounded best, but the Chinese tube was a close second. I don't know the brand. The box is orange.
Getting ready to order crap for the next build. I like the Little Wing amp, but I want to see if I can hang a 5F6A preamp and inputs on it. I like having 4 inputs and two channels to play with.
Edit: the new tube is a Tube Amp Doctor. I don't know the number. The guy who sold it to my friend said it was Chinese.
