More details on the wreck forum but thanks to all those who chimed in with the ideas for this project, heres a few pics so you can see how it turned out, the spec is 2x6L6 winged c, sovtek pre,s garrolite style eyelet boards, 4 diode rec, lower voltaes than standard to get crunch at a reasonble volume(still flameing loud) master volume after the tonestack again tokeep the volume down, black tweed case, most parts are spares i had lying around, intotal the entire build cost £130 plus labour

Looks good hope your enjoying it.
That is how I did the layout on my cap board in my Express combo, not much room left. Can caps work well in this type of chassis.
Any problem with headroom with your amp?

Its fairly loud, i reckon i,m getting around 20-25 watts out off it, the bass control is very sensitive, set at 12 o clock its not really very effective, send it to 3 and it rattles the house, lead dress was a challange as the 12 ax7 sockets are ofset to allow for the 6l6 s , i used the parralel heater wires in preference to twisting,a. for neatnes, b. i had to wire straight off the board anyway so it made it easier to solder in.M Fowler wrote:Looks good hope your enjoying it.![]()

I,m pretty pleased and i reckon once i,ve had time to play around the amp will grow on me like a rash lol
