I wanted to get some people's take on how to do a layout for an amp I'm building in the chassis of my old blues Jr. The issue I'm having is that I'm a little cramped for space. So, I was going to solder some of my components directly to the pins on the tubes (see schematic. For example, the 1k5 resistors going between pins 2 and 6 on the EL84s, or the slope resistors coming off of the 3 and 8 pins in the preamp stages).
The thing I'm concerned about is the heat these compenents will be exposed to. 1/2w of current isn't that much for the resistors heat-wise, but since the tubes hang directly below these components, I'm worried about the heat venting up from the tubes.
Is this something I should even worry about? I could just wire stuff up to the pins a remeber to check the values whenever I replace my tubes. Or is there some sort of thermal insulation/protection I could use on my components? What do y'all think?

I find it difficult to say "that's good enough"

I do not think you will have a problem. Resistors are commonly soldered directly to tubes as grid stoppers.

Just think of Matchless when you do it....

Another thing you can do if you're worried about heat around the 6BQ5s is to use the inexpensive BC 1 or 2w metal films available from Mouser and DigiKey. The 1 watts are sized like 1/4w CF/CCs and the 2 watts are a little larger than the 1/2w CF/CC.
Neither of the resistor positions you cited have any self-heating at all. The screen resistor(s) are the only resistors (outside of the ones in the power supply) that I'd worry about heat problems.
