I've been working on Alvin Lee style licks a lot lately. I don't necessarily try to copy his stuff note for note but he has a unique timing and way of working into bends that's fun to evoke. The "new" band I'm in is working up a version of "I'd Love to Change the World" that's pretty true to the original. The solo in that song is one of my all time favorites and I get all giddy every time I get to play it. I love the progression in this song too, it's really fun to go balls out over the chord changes. Can't wait to play this one live!
