Do I just plug them in and bias? Does the output impedance change for my speakers?

Nope. Plug and play (with bias set at -30V).

I have been running them in my Express clone for several months now. Plug and play, just as Cliff says. I like them a lot for practice because the breakup on the amp comes a little sooner, but there's still plenty of power when you need it.

Sounds good. I'll need to get a set and try them out.

My favorite 6V6's are the old Sylvania smoked glass 6V6GT/G (a 6V6G like characteristic in a GT sized package). They are relatively common and not too expensive yet.
I don't have any new manufacture 6V6's to compare with my NOS stuff but I'm curious to try the JJ 6V6S in my Express sometime.

Out of curiosity, do you know when your Sylvania NOS were made? Just wondering. FWIW, I've used JJ 6V6S in a 6V6 Plexi (because of their tolerance of very high plate voltages, well beyond the spec of NOS). They sound good and took a terrible beating but never failed.
