I just made this change to one of my amps today (from the suggestion at Fig 4.13 in Merlin's 1st book.
Quite noticeable gain difference at each input

That is a nice set-up.
There seems to have been a bunch of parallel input posts/queries lately.
I've been thinking trying a small SE amp as a first semi-original build & the parallel front end seems like a cool feature.
Do you like the sound?
From my surfing, most who've done it describe it as "fatter"
