ID numbers for values on PEC Pots
Hey Guys.I must have tossed the PEC boxes and now Im installing the pots on my liverpool. The 1 megs are easy,I just need to be able to check the 25k and the 250k,Can someone help me ID these 2.In other words on the back of the pots there are plenty of numbers but it really does not say the digits 25K or 250k,just dont want to put the wrong one in the wrong place,Thanx Mikey
Re: ID numbers for values on PEC Pots
They 25k pot should have a 253 on it.
The 250k should have a 254.
So the 25k should have some numbers similar this RV4N253C
I usualy just check them with my meter

Re: ID numbers for values on PEC Pots
Measure them and put the rotation in the middle. For Audio you will have about 10% of the value from wiper to element on one side and 90% on the other. (watch out for reverse audio if it is surplus) I always measure since most pots have a 20% value tolerance. You want to try something really fun try and plot the resistance. Audio pots are usually not very smooth curves.ampmike wrote:Hey Guys.I must have tossed the PEC boxes and now Im installing the pots on my liverpool.
