I watched this and all I could think about is the guitar laying on the amp head in the background. I was hanging out at a local bands practice back when I was a kid, and watched a DA acrylic bass vibrate off the head and shatter.

But yeah, I don't play out any more, because no matter how good I sound, I won't get the chicks. :D

Well, that and I already found the best one.

So this is a little embarrassing confession. But the band he is covering in this video is a band called Nile. The lead guitarist from the band, Karl, sought my help in saving some of his programs from his guitar synth and writing some programs. Somehow I was credited on their album. Karl is a great guy and has a tongue in cheek attitude toward the whole death metal scene. But it is still weird to see my name on the album credits.

Somehow I feel like my contribution was sort of like midgets dancing around a miniature replica of stonehenge.

At the end of the day, the guy is having fun doing the same thing we do to have fun at; playing the guitar. I camje up cutting my teeth on the hair bands of the late 70's and 80's. I still remember a lot of that stuff and loved to play it, hell it was my life...back then. Now it's Jazz and the Blues. I'm in to learning "weird" cords and progressions. Roid boy may not be our cup of tea and it's okay to laugh about it but, he's doing it. And, I'll sell him an amp if he wants one. :)

Wow, small world.

I wasn't really making fun of the guy so much as I just thought it looked weird with a muscle bound guy playing death metal like that.
Then to see him lifting weights was also strange to me.
That is a different world for sure and he is obviously good at what he does.
