Rocket Track

Post by strato17 »

Hey Gents,

It's been awhile. I hope everyone is well! I've been doing a lot of tracking with my Rocket clone, and I figured I would share a tune.

This is a track I played electrics on for a Christian band called Kutless.

Click on the YouTube video:

Gear:
Rocket Clone through Mesa 2x12 cab with v30's
57 and Royer 121 through API 312's

These amps are freaking sweet. I can't wait to build another one!

Very good recording.

Did you play two different overdubs one distorted chords and the other higher note picking? Running straight amp or use some pedals?

Thanks geetarpicker! It's their first single off this record, and it's already getting some radio play.

@Decko! thanks man. I've been doing some session work here in Nashville recently.

@mlp,@ampmike,@rawnster thanks!

@M Fowler. Hey man... there are actually alot more guitar tracks than that. The rhythms alone are 4 tracks... a stereo pass of power chords and a stereo pass of full chords. All of the overdrive is from the amp only. I used reverb and delays for some of the ambient stuff.

I have a couple of other artists whose recordings I used my rocket and express on. I'll need to find some clips and post them.

Great work! Heck with the amp. That is great production!

(and nice amp!)
