I mill guitar nuts from Delrin, and it makes my second favorite picks too.
Those two materials could not look more different even in those two pictures above.

In person there's no way any one can be confused.

thanks.

seems about twice as thick as fr4 is necessary to maintain rigidity.

saves me from having to buy a sample pack.

Sorry, the amp's long gone but it was, as the others say, about twice as thick as the fiberglass boards we use. Could well have been 3 or 3.5mm. It wasn't totally flat, it had a slight warp to it.

I much prefer using G10 FR4 1.6 or 2mm.

Huh? Teflon has a bit more opacity, and it's less gritty, but they aren't so different. If it's all one color it all looks about the same in a pile, until you pick it up.

Thanks for the comments guys. I want to keep the momentum up so I'm already planning my next venture... a copy of Ceriatone's DC30.

To answer a couple of questions in the previous comments.

I bought this as a kit from AmpMaker for around £200. The prices there are great compared to some of the other kit suppliers.

The AmpMaker site does say the boards are PTFE. I bought a couple of blank ones for my next build.

I also bought a little Jet City JAC20H from eBay yesterday. Got it at a good price. I was originally thinking of stipping it down and modding it into an SLO-type clone. The head cab and chassis are worth what I paid for the amp so I might even have a go at a Rocket.

Too many ideas and not enough time!

i've got a jca20 that I keep around for tinkering. there's a lot you can do with the stock transformers. nice little platform to build on specially since it's only like 200 used.

I found this snooping around.

Supposedly the Jet 20 is a copy of a Slodano Atomic 16.

And a Billy Z mod to the JC20.
