I will be traveling from NY to Williamsburg Virginia this week and was wondering if there are any cool places to visit. To shop for guitar amp stuff, cool small boutique amp makers, shops, shows and even places where I can buy supplies.....as you can imagine I have never bought amp related parts in person, everything on the internet! Any suggestions would be appreacited

Paul Reed Smith factory in Stevensville, MD http://www.prsguitars.com/inside/index.html
You need setup work? Guitar repaired? This Phil (not me) is DA MAN http://www.philtone.com/
The Guitar Shop (mostly acoustic) in Washington, DC http://www.theguitarshop.us/
I have no idea if he's got a storefront (Northern Virginia) http://www.kcanostubes.com/

Dave, there's not much cool stuff in the 757 area anymore. If you want to fight the tunnel traffic and drive into Norfolk you can visit Priest Electonics for components. If you want shops, there's Guitar Center and Alpha Music in Virginia Beach. Also, you have A,L&M in Norfolk, the newer shop is a tiny fraction of th ebontique store it once was and is not worth the trip for gear, however one of the best setup guys in the country is located there, Kenny Marshall aka the Fretdoctor.yalesmith wrote:I will be traveling from NY to Williamsburg Virginia this week and was wondering if there are any cool places to visit. If you like smoked beef or pulled pork, make sure you visit Old County Grill in Yorktown, it's about 20-25 mins from Colonial Williamsburg.
