Dartanion, that's cool. Like most people who get into homebrewing, I also love Belgians. Did you mostly bottle or keg?

I do both. Standard Cornelius kegs and CO2 tanks. Bottling is a pain, so I do Champagne bottles and corks to make even more of a pain.

Hoemebrewing seems to be a common interest among DIY-types. I did it for a while, and also wrote for Zymurgy and the now-defunct Brewing Techniques journals. The BT articles are still available on-line. I'm a Belgian beer fan too, especially the lambics.

Zymurgy was one of my favorite publications.
Never made lambics, but lots of other Belgian ales, as well as British Ales of many types, porter, Altbier, and others, but no lagers, and no fruit beers!
I bought 12 Cornelius kegs from a local salvage yard when Pepsi decided to go to bags of syrup in boxes and carbonaters. Can't even find kegs outside of homebrew shops now, and they cost much more than the $10 each I paid. Bottles are nice for gifts - I gave lots of bottles to winery clients who showed their appreciation by giving me nice wine.
I guess the DIY gene expresses itself in a few predictable ways here!

Ahh lambic..

On my honeymoon in Europe 2 years ago, we spent a few days in Brussels.
One of the things that we did was take the tour at the Cantillion Brewery and sampled some lambic.
It was nothing like I'd ever tried before, but it wasn't too bad..

I'm not new but don't post much here. Trying to learn a bit more and venture here more often. Watch & go to football, baseball, & basketball games. Play golf, surf, sail, fish, camp, garden (plumeria cultivars), bike, wood work, RC planes, read, reefkeeping, traveling, concerts, and love good beer & happy hours. Build custom amps, effects, & electronic gadgets, lutherie, gigging, and playing stringed instruments - especially geetar. This is my little piece of ocean, much of the equipment is DIY.

Just finished this Telemaster Micro plane. Someone at work gave me the kit on Friday and the box said "build this in one weekend". Challenge accepted! Took friday night, all saturday and most of today to build. Now it just needs final sanding, covering and install the motor/electronics. I've built a lot of balsa wood rubber band powered models as a kid (and adult ) but this was my first RC airplane. This one came out nice and square, should be a very solid flyer.

Lots of common interests represented. I build analog synths and electronic music instruments, rebuild tube amps and radios, Ham radio, rock climbing (trad!), sailing (racing), Beekeeping and guitar.

Besides jamming with my buddy Jeff and my fiance (who plays the drums) as well as the many impromptu sessions, I have a Nitro-Maxx... Trying to perfect my grilling recipes... Building and repairing amps... And I'm hoping someone can give me a good Belgian recipe, I've been stuck on IPA's for a while. (I have a bunch of barely used Grolch bottles... 96 of them, if anyone is interested). Also I had to abruptly (pronounced divorce) get rid of my salt water tank a few years back. I will have another one set up someone soon. I have a couple guns in the closet, but I don't get the chance to shoot very much... Probably better off that way. I don't have the time. And I almost forgot because it has been so long... I love fishing!

I have a friend who goes wakeboarding with their speedboat and other water sports. Wish I owned my own speedboat and lake! LOL
