Same.
I find it's good to check after a couple of hours burn in as they can drift a little, new tubes more so.
David Root wrote:I just checked my three 12AX7s on my VTV tester.

One is higher gain than the other two but the triodes are not as well DC balanced, so that goes in V1.

One of the remaining two is well balanced, best of the three, maybe 1VDC between triodes, that is going in the PI.

The third one is not that badly balanced, not as good as the PI tube but better than the V1 tube and that is going in V2.

Gain numbers in each pair of triodes are pretty close except the V2 tube, which is not as close as the other two.

I'm curious how others would do their selection.

Unfortunately not, I could only find enough suede in that shade of purple to cover the head.

I'd do it purely by ear and as 'blind' as I could possibly make it.
Early brewers were primarily women, mostly because it was deemed a woman's job. Mesopotamian men, of some 3,800 years ago, were obviously complete assclowns and had yet to realize the pleasure of brewing beer.

Hello how much is needed to cover a 2 12 oval back cab with a head shell to boot ?

Can you send me pics of this suede ie without flash with flash..?
I am in stages of next build and so its either black or purple or maybe brown at this point.....

I might just have you send some to my builder when the time comes if needed...

Ron, I sent Taylor that grape suede for my cab. I would suggest that before you buy any, see if you can get a swatch from the seller. I sent him 14.5 sq ft hide for the head cab and he used nearly all of it.

1 hide for a shell, probably three or four for a 212. Its not usually square like tolex so sometimes its tough to cut the right size piece without wasting some.

Most places will send you samples free. I can get more of that grape purple I have a swatch that is almost identical to the stuff TM sent me. I would really only want to sell it to you glued to a cab though. There ain't no money in suede
