What is this ECC83 brand?

Post by Dingleberry »

Hi.

I was organising my various stashes of tubes today. Most of them were tubes disassembled from old tube radios and other vintage audio gear and bought from flea markets etc... and after a week or two when they've been laying on your workshop desk you put them into some box somewhere because you don't know the condition of those tubes, because you don't have a access to tube tester... (don't tell me I'm the only one who does that)

Well next week I have an access to tube tester so I can finally see how many of them are still in good condition and also match some power tubes.

I've seen various brands during last ten years but never seen this kind of ECC83 before.
You guys have any idea what is this? Is it just a relabeled something?
I have a Trigon ECC83 and the structure and the size (little fatter than average ECC83) of the tube seems to match. I've read somewhere that Trigons were Relabeled european tubes from various factories.
GL=Golden Lion? Could be, but I really doubt. It's internal structure looks different.
Take a look and give a hint if you have.

I didn't notice any marks in the bottom... no diamond logo there;(

And no, I don't have a pin straightener... I use needle nose pliers and patience.

It does have the thick glass, and they did put just about any label you wanted on their tubes. That does look like a British military mark though.
