I too am having cabinets built for both a Marshall and a "Wreck with bubinga. My builder's name is Larry also.8) He wants to know if the bubinga has any problem taking to the glue and what glue do you think is best. Thanks. I wish I could find a waterfall piece like yours for a reasonable price. Cook Woods has a a piece similar to yours on eBay, but for nearly $500!

Cook Woods is a very pricey place to shop. This piece of Bubinga came from Gilmer.
Regarding the cabinet I don't use glue.
Due to the fact that Bubinga is an oily wood, glue can actually fail causing the cabinet to delaminate or come apart at the seams.
If you want to have your cabinet guy send me an email I can let him know exactly what I use.

In response to GuitarNortons question, I do build cabinets for sale.
Just shoot me an email and we can discuss what you are interested in.

That is gorgeous beyond words!

Hey Distortion do you ever use any dyes or anything? I'd like a head cab that is a trans red.

Hi Luke,
Yes I have used quite a few different colored stains to get the required look.
The Bubinga cabinet shown here is actually stained with a bright orange tint. The cool thing is if the proper color stain is used it really enhances the natural color and figure of the wood.

Larry,
My cabinet guy Larry says he emailed you to ask you what you used instead of glue, but didn't get a reply. Can you reply here? We're all cut and ready to assemble. Thanks!

Hi John,
I haven't received any emails from your cabinet guy..

I have had good results with a product called T-88 from System 3.
Here is a link http://www.systemthree.com/p_t_88.asp

It is a slow setting epoxy which gives you plenty of setup time and works very well with oily woods.

Post some pictures of your cabinet when it is complete..
