Hi, Zambo. Yeah, I saw your thread and considered your approach. I still have some swirl but its sorta pleasant actually. The VVR is from Dana Hall and works great.

was the vvr easy to do? I have no experience but i really want to use this amp at gigs and its just to loud at optimum tone settings. Does the tone stay good down to like 5 watt ish settings? Thanks for the reply.

Yes, it's easy to do. Dana provides good instructions with his kits. Put mine right next to the power supply board. It sounds best when used moderately though. With the VVR at noon it reduces the volume enough to play comfortably in my home. When I turn it down too low I lose some available gain but it's still a good sound. Beyond that it gets splatty as the preamp is starved of voltage.
