Anyone used them?
They appear to be the same size cap from 20uf/500V thru to 100uf/500V, only 42mm long by 25mm diameter. Not bad money either.

11/16" x 1/2" is 17.5mm x 12.7mm. That is pretty small for a 100uF at 500V!!
These are new to me but I think that the indicated dimensions must be wrong.
I checked JJ's website. They are 25 x42mm, the tubes and more numbers are bogus.
They are rated only 1000 hours and at 70 deg C maximum. In practice I'm sure this would be exceeded by a wide margin.
Prices are good. I've used JJ can caps without problems, but I have heard of some problems from others, early failure.

Re: JJ Axials?
yeah sorry bout that link was the first one i saw. http://www.banzaimusic.com/JJ-100uF-500V-axial.html
These guys have them all the same size, at 42mm x 25mm, i looked at the data sheets and thats correct.
No good for matching up express type of bigass caps, but on a PS board could be good. Ive had no issue to speak of with their cans.

25x42 is more like .9" x 1.7". This seems perfectly reasonable to me. I've used the can caps with good result. The prices look very competitive. It's good to see JJ entering this market.
Re: JJ Axials?
Yea lots of thesed websites are listing "lazy" numbers. I thought initially i was overdoing it when i blueprinted my x10 with the big solens but i had to and glad i seeked a second opinion on some because many were wrong.
Mouser, however, is pretty much spot on with their numbers. A behemoth of a website but all the info you need and i can navigate it pretty quickly now with some tricks i picked up along the way.

At the risk of hijacking....Does anybody here use Project Manager at Mouser? A great timesaver for me!! I see that there is an option to "Share Projects"..but...I don't know anybody closely enough to share with.
I have about a dozen archived projects. None of them are completely specific to any single build as I always seem to be slipping in last minute goodies for "stock" and repair jobs.
I would certainly be willing to share just to understand the mechanics of the process if anyone else is.
Cheers,
Dave O.

Dave, I use it all the time. I love the "part/history" search function.ampgeek wrote:Does anybody here use Project Manager at Mouser?

Re: JJ Axials?
Yes indeed! Once you get a few projects archived, the next ones just get quicker and easier.
Have you ever shared a project? Just wondering how that works.
Cheers,
Dave O.
