Source for Custom Chassis
I found a good source for custom chassis and I'm really happy with the quality. I asked for an aluminum enclosure about the size of a Marshall 100 watt chassis that had the flanges folded in on all sides. He used real thick aluminum, the lines on the chassis are straight and the it sits flush to the ground (some of the other custom chassis did not sit flush).
The guy's name is Ron Work (email: rkwork@houston.rr.com, no website). I found his auction on ebay. Click below to see

Just thought I would pass along this info since it seems there are not a lot of places for making high quality one-off custom chassis.

You can always try the hammond stuff. I really like their black chassis finish which is quite robust. They may not be the cheapest, but the quality is great and they have a good selection of sizes and types.
I built a HO in a 16 x 8 x 2 and just ordered a rack mount type enclosure with vents for a pre amp. Expensive, but with the vents it is a professional looking piece...
You can also get a mesh top cover for each chassis. I have attached a pic of the HO with temporary panel graphics...

You should be able to find a local dealer from the Hammond site info. I found one a few blocks away, so they are quick to get the parts in and I save on shipping...

Does anyone have an updated email address for Ron Work? I tried to contact him at the address posted and it was returned undeliverable.

Re: Source for Custom Chassis
Jackie,
I'm currently working with Nik from Ceriatone http://www.ceriatone.com on getting a custom chassis made. He says that his chassis are laser cut so I'm having him do all holes for the chassis as well.
His quote was around $100 shipped. I'm hoping the final product will be professional looking custom chassis. I'll post some results when I get the chassis.
Anyone have any experience with having a custom chassis made by Ceriatone?

Hi Omar, I've bought a 18 watt TMB Chassis (steel) from Nik as well as an aluminum JTM45 and 36 watt chassis. Always top quality and all the nasty work is done for you! Nik really is tops to deal with!

Hey Allynmey, that's good to hear. Nik has been a little slow in getting back to me on my emails but I know that he and his wife have a newborn so I can relate.

Komboking's in the hospital...
BTW, in posts over at Ampage and at AX84, word is that Komboking has been hospitalized - chest pains, possible heart attack. I believe his wife has been responding to email at his account...

Hey Funk, you bought an express Chassis from Nik? Was it done special or has that little minx been holding out on me?

Re: Source for Custom Chassis
Hello Omar and all,
I did get in contact with Ron, but he told me he's not doing chassis (what is the plural of chassis?!?) at the moment. The ceriatone pre punched chassis sounds great, I'll definitely buy one of those. However, I need something slightly bigger than standard trainwreck size, 20" x 9" x 2.75" or so.
Anyone have any other contacts? I guess I'll try to get someone local to make one...I need it quick, too!

Epilogue
Ron got back to me a few weeks ago and was able to build me a couple of extremely nice aluminum chassis. So, I thought I'd update everyone that Ron is back!

Re: Source for Custom Chassis
Allynmey,
I sent him the chassis Drawings from the files section here, Be aware though that the BRITE switch and PILOT LIGHT holes are too big, they should be .250 for the switch, and .313 for the pilot light. I had him do the JTM 45 style ears and folt them under with squares for blind nuts.
