Bad Cat iron

i,m looking at doing a Badcat clone and need some advice on the output trannie and choke, already decided on using a AC30 hammond unit for the jiuce supply

Maybe someone who knows better can validate the claim.

certainly not Mecury Magnetics prices, probaly hammond or mojotone if i can get a idea on the specs i need for the trannie and choke

cuise ebay you can find OEM matchless iron sets.

I'll keep an eye out but I remember seeing them post every other week.

Transformer Design and Supply is the place. They made the original iron for Matchless, they are still making it.

Not replica and not expensive, but not cheap either. Roughly asking $200 for a set of PT, choke and OT for a 15 watt amp and about $300 for a 30 watter. Don't hold me to that. Now it's been a year or so and we know raw materials are going up....

TDS won me over with the exact iron I wanted. They are friendly. Try getting OFF the phone with them.
Send them some business and we all win.
My TDS equipped amps are my most complex sounding instruments.
