Wah to volume switch
Wondering if anyone here has tried to make it so that their wah pedal, when not on the wah setting, acted as a volume pedal? It'd sure be nice to have that second use for it...

Re: Wah to volume switch
There's a schematic and pcb for adapting a Crybaby to a wah/volume pedal at Tonepad. I haven't tried this but with the treadle's limited travel i would think the volume function would be pretty compromised.

Re: Wah to volume switch
Many inventions are the combination of 2 things. In this case I think the ohm value of the pot could be an issue. Get a dual pot with 2 different values (custom made ?) and it seems very possible to me.
If it says "Vintage" on it, -it isn't.
Re: Wah to volume switch
with dual pots it's no more then wiring the pot.
the downside would be the volume loss of increase you would get when switching from effect to effect.

Thanks guys! The dual pot idea is one thing I had thought of. I've done that before: remove the element from one of the two pots and replace it with a different value to make my own custom. I might try that in my Teese.
Guess I was hoping that someone else was already selling something that did both well. I know there was one manufacturer who did, but I don't think it was very well thought of.

Re: Wah to volume switch
morley made a volume wah back in the 70's / 80's the big silver style. but you had to select between them via a footswitch on the deck.
